xinerama/twinview mplayer fullscreen problem

hello guys,

i exeperience strange behaviour of mplayer on openbox xinemara setup.
switching to fullscreen works fine on one of my screens. but when i switch 
to fullscreen on the other screen, the first screen goes white. 
however, it just works fine while running xfce window manager.

putting "fstype = -above,fullscreen" in ~/.mplayer/config (as suggested in
the openbox faq) does not solve this.

anyone else has this problem or - even better - a solution?

i use following software:
openbox-3.2-r1
xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1
mplayer-1.0_pre5-r4
