Hm. Eg. I'd like to use a bunch of of xloads to overview the load of a
set of hosts of the local network. It would be nice to be able to just
globaly disable the window decorations for this application.

Did I understand you right, that there should be instead a parameter
for xload to disable window decorations? Interesting idea. Maybe I
should hack the sources :))
