i went back to a non tiled terrain because when you tile the terrain with normal / spec / bump etc.. you get a super weird almost checkerboard look to everything that is unnacceptable.. there needs to be some kindof alternative though to uvmapping terrain models like the planetoid as theres not really much of a way to hide seams for it and if you do a sphere unwrap of the planet you will get very very bad texture warping .. im not really sure what to do about a solution the only ideas i have are extremely exotic..
