Set-Up</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>PLEASE HELP..we are confused. We have a
dedicated server that has a Linux OS. We have no physical
access to our server, we have to access it via the internet (like
most). Basically it is completely unmanaged, we do
everything. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>Does the server only need the Spearhead Linux
Dedicated Server Beta 5 in order to host a public Spearhead Game. Or
does the server have to have the Game on it also? </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>If it needs the game on it, how do we put that
on a Linux server when it is a Windows application. Walk me
throught this like I am a 5 year old </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>please. I will try to explain
what I think is supposed to be done: </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>1) I install the game on my home computer, patch
it, etc... </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>2) I add the the Linux dedicated server files,
the "fgameded.so" file to the Mainta Folder. And the
"spearhead_lnxded" file to the MOHAA Main directory (not the Main
folder). </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>3) Then copy the entire MOHAA game folder
onto a couple of CDR's and send those to the Linux Server place.
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>4) They copy the files from the disc into the
server. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>IS THIS CORRECT??? or I am ass backwards on
this? </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial>THANK YOU. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
