The sv_pure "fix" in 2.15 is this:

// WHY WAS THIS RESET TO ZERO AFTER CALCULATING?!
//pure_checksum = 0;

(Yeah, feel free to bitch that it took months of waiting for them to
comment out an errant line of code.)

I'll have to look at this, not sure why it wouldn't work.
