[mohaa] ...so...?

I run all standard 10000 for sv_maxrate since that is the standard for
online tournament play. 10000 is more than the average client transmits
back and forth. ID Software and Epic have both said anything over about
7000 makes not difference for client performance unless you are on a
LAN.

Even cutting down the sv_maxrate on MOHAA or SH still pushes twice the
out data than in data. In my honest opinion, the server is way out of
control on the outbound traffic so when you get too many clients, the
server is way over worked on the net code. ID Software & Epic game
servers all have much more stable out bound data from the server, and
maybe that is why you do not see this same problem on those servers. I
was just hoping there was a fix to this problem on MOHAA & SH, but I
guess it must be the net code/server code by EA.

Thanks,
Matrix

well maybe you cut your rates down really low, becouse i always allow
the
max client output rate so that peopel connected get as much client data
as
they need. if you seek less output to clients, lower teh maxrate, but
that
could be the reason your server lags over 20 people, since it cant fit
the
needed data to all the clients past your maxrate settings.
