I was going to write a simple perl web admin tool to be a FE for the
server.  Do you have anything similar you would be willing to share?

Not sure if it matters :) But I tend to agree, the AA version of the
linux 
server is very stable. I have about 40 AA servers running and unless
people 
are adding mods, the process never really needs to be restarted.

SH on the other hand is a different story. I can't sleep at nights
thinking 
that the SH server is going to grind the system to a halt. Continued
work on 
SH rather than AA is definitely my preference.
