you guys rock!!!!
I had actually turned off DNS as a security precaution. I didn't figure nay application that used all IP's would need it - well, I was wrong. Gamespy resolves to master0.gamespy.com and master1.gamespy.com
Once I turned BIND back on everything shows up great.
thanks again for saving me from certain insanity!!!

Try using nslookup on your box to see if the master gamespy server resolves
I think its dns is master0.gamespy.com

Thanks Kevin. I am familiar with resolve.conf and how it works - im just not
sure how it would need to be configured for gamespy to resolve properly?
could you give me an example? thanks, guys!

Resolv.conf is used in linux to hold your dns entrys,so that ips can be
resolved to names

I didn't really read any of the other msgs in this thread. But if you are
still having this problem - remember to make sure that you set your
resolv.conf correctly so that it can resolve the gamespy names.
