interesting point. How do you mean, exactly? Im familiar with resolv.conf. but not sure how you mean it should be for gamespy?

I didn't really read any of the other msgs in this thread. But if you are 
still having this problem - remember to make sure that you set your 
resolv.conf correctly so that it can resolve the gamespy names.
