[mohaa] Server specs

yeah, if its strictly for practice and clan matches you probably wont
use much bandwidth. But, these days bandwidth is much easier to come by
- in the U.S at least. I don't know about other areas of the world, of
course.

I still think 100 is enough.

I hire a clan server and we use it for training and wars.
And I might set the limit to 20 GB per month, per server.

I use my server around 15 hours a week, and I think that's with normal
use.

But I will do some research and some calculating :)

Thanks,

Sander

again - it depends on the number of players in the server and how many
hours per day its full, what your Maxrate is, etc. But, A 20 person
server that's full 12 hours a day for a month uses about 100 Gigs for
Mohaa (obviously a very rough estimate based on so many factors). Other
games will be different, etc.

I run four public/ private clan servers in Mohaa and my average
bandwidth per month is anywhere between 250-300 Gigs. So, for me, If I
was planning on running 8 games I would NEVER limit myself to 100 Gigs.
Just asking for trouble IF some of you clients get popular - like mine.

Well I was thinking of 100 GB per server.
So that would be around 8 clan servers, that 12 GB a month.

Is it really that much ? Or are you calculating publics as well ?

Thanks,
Sander

I agree. 400 GB should be what you look for with that may servers. 700
would be a nice buffer.

100gb is no way enough, im owner of e-frag and we are using around 400gb

data transfer/month. so 100gb you'll run out rather quickly :P
