Might be our signal handler cleaning up without a core.
Run the server under gdb directly:
gdb ./spearhead_lnxded
when gdb prompt comes up:
run xxx
...where "xxx" is your command line options...when it crashes, use the
"bt" command. If it says "program exited normally"...well, that's a
problem.
