wow 60% cpu utilizatoin???

Wow...I tried out the latest linux dedicated server binary and launched a 18 
man server. At around 16 or so players, I noticed that the ping strted to 
spike from an avg of 50ms up to 100 ms. At this point, I took a look at my 
top output and noticed that the spearhead binary was using up 60% of the 
cpu...has anyone experienced this?
