Or be the first person to port the required tools to linux binaries with nice web based admin screens and make all of our lives easier ;)

go to www.mohadmin.com there should be lots of things to do what you want. Any of the tools that you use to run on your own pc that connects to a windows server to display msg's will also run on a linux server i believe.
There was also a perl script (or series of perl scripts) that ran on the linux box that not only did that but looked after tk'ing and other things.
Hazzie.

In response to John - I found a nice utility for server monitoring at www.majorkillingforce.com which has a built-in ssh for linux based servers, which I'm planning on implementing once I figure out why my Linux-based dedicated server shows that it's running, but seems to freeze upon startup. Uhg...
Anyway, John, the program goes by ServerWatch. Of course it requires Windows to run the ServerWatch program, unless you can get it to run on WINE. In either case - good luck!

I know this is a mailing list for MOHAA on Linux, but I was wondering if
anyone here preferred running MOHAA on Windows over Linux and vice versa.
For instance, I would really love to have the console give automated
messages (Visit our website, blah) and have ping limits, etc. I know that's
all available on Windows, but how about Linux?
Anyway, comments appreciated,
John
