this is what i did, make sure to run the server with +set dedicated 1 so
that the server runs in server mode not a client (why is it doing this if
no client is to be made available?)

secondly the fgameded.so wasnt be called from by the game, it was looking
for fgame.so so i just made a symbolic link redirecting it. im sure thats
becouse im doing something wrong, but it works for me, right now i ran
into the problem of all the maps having the wrong checksum and i cannot
connect. but i realised my install on my server is not from 2.11 so thats
probably why, and i dont feel like uploading all that shit over my adsl
line right now.
