Are you saying you dont need to extract the pack files like previously
stated into a maps dir? Also what is an RB?

Lo.
I made our rotor like this.
seta sv_maplist "obj/obj_team1 obj/obj_team2 obj/obj_team4 dm/mohdm1
dm/mohdm2 dm/mohdm3 dm/mohdm5 dm/mohdm6 dm/mohdm7 obj/Prado1_Obj"
map obj/obj_team1
The gametype is objective and will run all rb maps ok. if the maps are in
the rota you can load a rb map into a obj gametype via console as normal.
in replace of the gmotd i put a localization.txt file into the
/mohaa/global
dir. in there are all the death messages etc. if you change any then only
change the ones on the righthandside.
you can change the enter text to what u like, our is
{ "Press fire to join the battle!" "Welcome - CUSTOM MAPS @ www.c4clan.com
-
Press fire" }
ive attatched the demo .txt file.
the advert mod you are looking for.. ( i think ) is called Admin mod. you
can see it in action on a [UK2] server somewhere.. ( can be very annoying )
i hope some of this jargon is usefull to u

Other than hacking up the pk3 files, has anyone been successful with
multiple game type map rotations?
Also, getting sv_allowdownload to work? I know this isn't an ideal way to
get maps, but for those of us who want to run custom maps, its almost a
must.
Plus not having the ability to use g_motd makes it hard to pass the word
about custom map packs.
One last question, has anyone seen a bot, supposedly running from a linux
server, that just advertises in the game, something to replace motd, plus
put a timed message out to everyone via the in-game chat? I'm sure this
can
be scripted from the console via tcl or something similar, just looking for
something already coded (why recreate the wheel :)
thanks!
wokka
