If you're looking for really good examples of well-built commercial games, Quake 3's source code is beautiful. Even the ugly parts.<br>

I think it's an excellent example of balance of code quality and the need to ship.<br>

I think you don't want to learn too much from Lugaru's code — the code is hard to read and maintain.<br>

I am an amateur programmer and just downloaded the source code of lugaru.<br>
My goal is to analyse it, to understand it and to learn how big project are made. In other words, I want to learn from a source code.<br>
<br>
I manage to build the source so I can play with it a little (modifying things to understand what they do and all) so I wanted to know if there were any resources (documentation, explanation, forum, community, etc.) that can help me understand the source. I checked everywhere I could but found nothing. I know the source were not release long ago so I guess maybe there is still none?<br>
