Basically, no.

Grab loki_setup, and loki_setupdb from CVS on i.o
Build them [setupdb first].

You'll find an "image" dir in loki_setup. It contains the bits you
need for the platform you're on. [and some example pieces, IIRC].
Notably, it's what you either burn to a CD or turn into a makeself
archive.

Now go download a recent installer made by someone else, extract it
with ./blah.run --target=/tmp/blah
Anything Ryan's released on icculus.org is probably a good example.

And nosey about. Compare setup.data/setup.xml with the README.xml file
in loki_setup.

README.xml is kept up to date, it's your reference guide.

Take the suck-it-and-see approach to working out how to use it. If you
run into any problem, you can ask either on this list, on in
#icculus.org on irc.freenode.net
