Stephane: the --copy command to makeself works like a champ. i won't say
it's necessarily universal, but on this box, I could unmount the ISO i had
on the loopback. And if there is a system that it doesn't work on, they
CAN always manually copy the makeself'd file and unpack it.

If the Linux bins go on the CD at all, they'll go on as an
click-here-to-run installer, not a tarball.
