you'r  right, it's an old one : 2.2.1
But I still think it's mandrake's menus which are wierd:

setup created /usr/share/applnk-mdk/Games
shoud be:
/usr/share/applnk-mdk/Amusements
where you have:
Arcade
Boards
Cards
Sports
Strategy
Toys

Then
inside  blahblah/Games
the Candy.desktop reads:
Name[fr]=Games
which should be :
Name[fr]=Jeux

in the slackware, the Games directory preexisted, so the translation also.
