PhysicsFS + setup? (or something similar)

Unless it already does, is there any simple way to add arbitrary
extraction of files from a location to setup?

I was thinking perhaps physfs so it could see the files transparently,
and then they'd be like a CDROM or something to setup?

Trying to think up the best way to deal with the Uplink cd install
(which has a zip with everything I need in it).
