I also tried the export setup command but no luck. First i used the path to my cd drives and when that failed i said path to " where my 6 cd's were on the drive " no luck either. ! i tried installing the game on an ext3 and a FAT 32 partition.... _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Do you have the many gigs of free space in /tmp as well as your home partition needed to install the game? -- -zakk zakk at timedoctor.org zacharyslater at gmail.com From poutsokavliaris at yahoo.com Mon Sep 27 22:56:52 2004 From: poutsokavliaris at yahoo.com (ss fdfdsfs) Date: Mon, 27 Sep 2004 19:56:52 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [lgfaq] Major problems installing UT 2004 In-Reply-To: <20040928024139.GA27308@timedoctor.org> Message-ID: <20040928025652.10152.qmail@web51101.mail.yahoo.com> the game is about 4-5 gigs right? df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda2 21G 8.4G 12G 41% / /dev/hda3 56G 3.8G 52G 7% /mnt/hda3 /dev/hdb1 115G 109G 5.7G 96% /mnt/hdb1 /dev/sda1 242M 11M 231M 5% /mnt/sda1 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Then i had to mount them like this : mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom and all CDs worked fine . --- Dan Green wrote: --------------------------------- I dont know if its the same problem that your having but i had a simmilar problem when installing unreal tournament (origanal) and it was also a problem with the .utx files not being decompressed for linux use. If the error is happening during the installation of the game then it could be dirt or a scratch on the disc or something but you might want to consider that it is the same problem as i have had in the past. So what you might need to do is copy the contense of the game CD's onto one of your hard drives and then decompress the .utx files. It should have a decompressor with the game installer but that might not be the case. I would say of better advice have a look on Google and look for "Installing Unreal Tournament 2004 in linux".
