I did this and it worked fine. Switching my IDE cdrom back to normal
IDE operation that is. I left my burner as scsi emulation and my DVD is
scsi so no changes there. I mounted the cdrom explicitly and ran the
copied linux-installer.sh that was in my home dir. I had disk 2 in my
DVD and 3 in my burner. Once it was done with one it mounted and found
disk two and then three when two was complete. I was able to unmount
both DVD and burner and put in disk four and five respectively. When
the install was done with disk 5 it went back to disk one in my cdrom
and finished up without a hitch.
I only had my cdrom using scsi emulation for use in K3b. It works good
that way. And I never did like supermount so it is always disabled.
Just thought you'd like to know my results. Thanks again for the help.
