need to be able to run the editor from a network share and seperate the settings
right now the path for saving the settings files saves in the core, which will
affect all users. need to have a behaviour similar to Linux for the root path
settings. Use the regular windows stuff to point to the current user (I have
that code somewhere)

Have to do this for 1.2.11, this can't wait a 1.2.12
