[Gtkradiant] [Bug 551] closing buttons (X) don't work sometimes

i've noticed that the dropdown menus are sticky - if a menu is opened then the 
X button is ignored until you close the dropdown.  this is different behavior 
than standard windows and might be the cause of confusion?
