I have attached a samplemap file containing a small selection of curves to 
highlight this problem.

Open the map and all the sample curves should be facing you in the 3D viewpoint.

Select the outer endcaps on the upper archway and move to the YX viewpoint and 
try to move both endcaps selected. Deselect one and you can move the remaining 
one around.

Select the two inside patch curves of the archway and move to the ZY viewpoint 
and again you cannot move them. Deselect one and you can move the remaining one 
around.
