well i know I *don't* use it for halflife support.  but do any sp/mp games use 
different base texture directories ? 

how does textures/ get added to the shader names ?  by the shader module ?  if 
so then maybe that needs updating to use this setting.

or maybe the setting should be called "texture directory name" (as opposed 
to "texturepath") so that we go <fs_game>/<texturedirectoryname>/bleh.tga 

i dunno..  just thinkout out-loud.
