Quick suggestion for the Patch Inspector:

If a single vertex is selected on a patch, it would be nice if that vertex 
would be already selected when bringing up the Patch Inspector.  For example, 
if I select the vertex at the third column, first row, and hit shift-s, 2 is 
already in the columns drop-down, and 0 is in the rows.
