I can't reproduce. If I use individual clicks on the spinner I don't get any 
problem, and if I leave the spinner pressed when the autosave should happen, it 
waits until I release it to send the autosave.

I built a version with autosave every 2-3 seconds and played with it for a 
while .. can't get any crash.

Maybe it's worth trying on the latest nightly builds .. it could be some 
recursion cases we have fixed or something.
