[freespace2] Patch: Build issues on fedora 9

This patch is against Freespace 2 Open, which is actually a different
project.  I recommend just opening a Mantis bug at
http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis/ and attaching this patch to the bug
report.  In the bug report you can add something like "taylor already
ok'd it", which should tell others to go ahead and add the patch rather
than waiting a month or so for me to get time to do it.

I work on both projects but I'm on an extended coding vacation from
FSO/SCP at the moment in order to work on other projects instead,
otherwise I'd go ahead and apply it myself.

Oh, and thanks for the patch. :D
