q3a pointrelease does work as well. However, for the lack of another
program, I have not tried building any GL-Applications myself.

 ll /usr/lib/libGL.so*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     12 2005-08-27 07:17 /usr/lib/libGL.so ->
libGL.so.1.2
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     17 2005-08-21 08:49 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 ->
libGL.so.1.0.7676
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root 518220 2005-08-21 08:49 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.7676

ll /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 12 2005-08-27 07:17 /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so ->
libGL.so.1.2

Seems like /usr[/X11R6]/lib/libGL.so was a broken link. I fixed
/usr/lib/libGL.so to point to /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 and miraculously a
freespace2 appeared. My guess is that this is a bug with the
nvidia-driver-installer, so I guess I'll file a bugreport with them - if
I can find someone to bug on the nvidia-homepage.

Thank you for your time and effort!

Damian Philipp
