Try to update your glibc version if an update is available. Also just
make sure that you aren't using cruiser03.pof from the FS2_Open version.
If you don't have any mv_* files and it's not hanging around by itself
then you should be ok.

Fixed.

In FS2_Open you can just run it will -allslev and all of the missions
will be available in the tech room. This will allow you to at least
test it without having to deal with the pilot stuff. If it works then
you can copy your pilot and campaign savefile over to
~/.fs2_open/data/players/single and it will load from there. Just
accept the upgrade message when you load the pilot the first time.
FS2_Open also has the same German code updates that the icculus.org
version does so it should work the same there, except that the tables
are going to be the English versions.

I use it regularly and don't have problems. Please report any issues
here:
http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=113
and we'll see about getting them fixed.
