[freespace2] licensing question

It will be the icculus.org/project/freespace2 url as homepage of the 
project (this for the fs2 port, when Ill make an ebuild for fsopen we 
will see then :)).

Ah, but gentoo is much more flexible. It can use binaries (like 
quake3/ut) but usually gentoo's packages are in fact "scripts" which tell 
gentoo how to download, build, install from source (its very similar to 
BSD's ports system in many aspects). I finished a first version of the 
ebuild file, check this entry:
