[freespace2] Mandrake 9.2 supermount or not?

Yes this is with that installer, it's FS 2...does the installer work with FS1 as well? I tried the procedure you outline, the only difference being that if I manually mounted the cd rather than let the installer do it, I wind up with 2 "mount /dev/cdrom" in ps-ef instead of one....i'll try again though, and be more careful to follow your directions (I don't know if discs were loaded when I disabled supermount and i'm not sure if there were any shells or filemanagers open to the cdrom drive (I'm pretty sure no though)). Thanks for the advice.

This is with ravage's installer right? FS1 or FS2? Really I think that
this is a known issue with loki_setup. With no discs loaded disable
supermount. Then manually mount disc 1 and run the installer again.
When it prompts for the next disc manually unmount and mount the next
disc until install is complete. Also make sure that you are not in the
same directory in the shell or GUI filemanager when doing all of this to
help avoid the "device busy" messages.

Also try http://icculus.org/lgfaq if this doesn't work for you. There
may be some other solutions that do help. If none of that works let me
know and I'll think of something else, or someone else may have an idea
or two.
