[freespace2] Mandrake 9.2 supermount or not?

Have you checked the permissions on your /dev/cdrom? It could be that if 
you're running the installer as a non-root user, you don't have permission 
to mount the CD.

Also, check the output from "dmesg" after the install hangs to see if 
there's anything interesting there about the cdrom.
