In descent 2, the subtitles are not stored in the mve file, but are just loaded
separately and drawn over the movie as it's playing.
Also, the documentation that came with the source code makes no mention of
subtitles, so I don't think they are part of the mve format.  (It does seem to
support up to 16(!) simultaneous audio tracks (for multiple languages, presumably)
