CoD4 is still very much alive. Although i'd say the standard of play has dropped considerably. Number of people using dirty tactics (hopping/diving) has risen to a point that reminds me of playing Counterstrike. Frustrating is one word to describe it.<div>
<br></div><div>That said, the "i don't care about playing fair, i just want loads of points" attitude to gaming is becoming more widespread, so i suspect its pretty universal through the newer CoD games, too.<br>

Stopped being impressed by shiny new graphics quite a while ago, they<br>
*always* improve them.<br>
In fact, I'm strongly considering picking up CoD4 again. If xfire's daily<br>
stats are any kind of indication, CoD4 and CoD2 still beat all the other CoD<br>
series games hands down, player wise. In other words, highly active PC<br>
communities.<br>

I've moved far away from the CoD franchise, which caters to their console<br>
customers. Hell they can't even say if you're a new "PC Elite"<br>
subscriber, you'll get the map packs at the same time.<br>
