the ~ suffix usually means a backup of the file has been made by a
graphical text editor, like gedit. Do you use a graphical interface
on your server ?<br>

Ive seen something I personally never seen before. Im running
64 bit debby linux and noticed that config on jump servers
duplicates itself as:<br>
