Only issue I had was crash to desktop after install and that was
because I decided to actually use the full abilities of my HD Audio
card and run 192000 Hz audio. COD:WaW doesn't like anything higher then
48000 Hz.

Your installer crash at the end sounds like the installer crash that
would happen if the Windows Firewall was disabled

Is anyone having issues even getting the game installed, period? Bought
the collectors edition ... the installer bugged out and didn't make any
of the shortcuts (I had to navigate into the install directory and
launch the game from there). Then the 1.1 patch installs, but the game
isn't recognizing the patch; reinstalling the patch just says the patch
is already installed.

I'm told they are monitoring the masterserver 24/7 and are notified
when it goes down. They will respond ASAP....... or so I'm told.
