What kind of CVAR and MD5 scans are you doing on clients.<br><br>These tend to lag the client more then the server but if your doing massive requests in pulses you could be getting back more the PB can deal with at any given time.<br>

Do you think punkbuster is so shitty that it can "invoke" big lags ? some can take 3 seconds before the server responds again. But I have to admit the pb config is quite heavy on my servers...<br>

I have this kind of "freeze" with cod2 too, so I don't think it's coming<br>
specifically from the binary. Should be with kernel, as using a more recent<br>
one (<a href="http://2.6.25.6" target="_blank">2.6.25.6</a> with SMP, PREEMPT, 1000Hz, to stay short) reduces the<br>
frequency of these lags (but they're still present). Or a combination with<br>
binary, glibc, kernel (plus hardware ?) ...<br>
