I only saw about a 10 ping decrees with the maxpackets set too 100. You would think that increasing your packet rate would increase net traffic and possibly driving the ping up..<BR>

Server side make sure sv_fps is set to 20, increasing it will increase the ping unless the client's snaps is = too or > then the servers sv_fps.<BR>

In the end, Yes CoD4 runs a higher ping rate then other games. Here on my LAN server in game my client will have an average ping of 17, with a high of 24. Other games such as TF2, HL2MP, Source Forts all ping 5-10. I do not recall what BF2 averaged<BR>
