Since the admins handle most of the costs of bandwidth, how about admin's
creating a consensus driven map pack. Pick a target size, and put enough
maps in it to satisfy that volume. Update it based on interest with a new
version (this satisfies those who's fav's aren't picked 1st). Maybe do a
tag in the server's id line, ala mohaa and ckr1.1?
when will the fix be released... I can't find any news on that.
Subject: [cod] 1.3 patch the good and bad - iwd check sum will not be fixed.

Just wanted to bring this to all of the admins here, which should be all of
you ;)

IW has stated that the only fixes 1.3 will address are
- Gamestate
- PB Guid issue
These are the only two things this new patch will address.

The official IW spokesperson, 402 has stated the following in regards to iwd
check sum issue.

"As I stated, we will be unable to release a fix for this issue, which is
why this is a 'work-around' and not a fix.

It is not meant as a fix, but is the alternative and answer to not getting
the IWD checksum error.

To answer Freeman's question. This means that we will be unable to fix this
issue."

The work-around 402 speaks of is combining all custom iwd map files into one
"map pack".

Ryan any comment on how this will effect the Linux 1.3 patch and is it
possible for you to do some magic with these Linux bins?

Sorry to be the messenger of bad news, just wanted to let everyone know what
is going on.
