running a server with AWE 3b9 and a mappack of 85 MB, fs_game set to a name, no
one else will use, so it won´t give problems with any other modified servers

should fix the mistake with iwd sum/missmatch soon, it is not much fun to
administrate a CoD2-server, running from one problem into the next... And it is
an old mistake, we had it in COD, so it should not been done again, but ok,

ideally I would say check the readme with any map (open up the .iwd file with
zip), if an author says not to redistrubute without permission I would ask for
it. Many may say in the readme they are ok as long as the readme that
came with the original zip is included as well (so its obvious who the
originator is). Try to keep any unique names to your paks to avoid possible
conflicts with paks similarlarly named players may already have from
elsewhere. </SPAN></FONT></P></DIV>

pack to work with any mod, (although not sure which map pak, so might be
something in that), we have custom paks working with mods fine, and only use
fs_game when there's a speciifc mod to be used. </SPAN></FONT></P></DIV>

would be to keep the same base or fs_game , but move paks in/out from a
central place just as part of a dos or bash script (if you use a diff fs_game
you need to restart server anyway). We've done that before when there's been
some weird combos of mods and maps and people want to switch between them but
keep the base gametype or mod so it matches the filter queries.

however creating map packs at random can create problems for
users. Be sure to use fs_game and it should, in theory,
