Ok guys well, i'm running a ubuntu box and came across this weird
issue(gc command) with cod1 crashing the server.
cod_lnx_ded is 1.5b
Now i'm not a sw developer and found advice to remove the offending
command from the dll, this appears to not work and i suspect
the command is picked up and used from one older copies of the dlls in
some of the pk3 files,
editing of these dlls causes a pk3 to fail the pure test (which i
thought is possibly a crc mismatch?), anyone found a way to get round this?
is it a case of using the right decompression/decryption tools?(just
using windows compressed folders to unzip/rezip )
or am i worrying about nothing as allowing clients to connect with non
pure pk3s is irrelevent or much less risky?
regards
mdb
