Got the same reply too "server is busy." and i am wondering why there are
not dedicated server files on my steam linux client. in third party games,
it does not show any option for call of duty mw3 ...

Would be strange not to have Linux binaries. Let's hope for the best. =)

But why aim for ultimate success, when you can grab a buttload of cash quick
and start on the next iteration of the game?

If they really want to get near to the cod4 success I see no way other way
then providing linux support...

Hello,

I am aware thet MW3 will be supported on Dedicated, good news i guess....
But still am a bit confused about the rumors..

Will all dedicated be ranked or are there again 1 or more GS providers that
are able to provide ranked servers?

Second and most populair i guess.. will it be linux supported?

Regards Patje

Right now, dedicated only servers (public) will be unranked ONLY. You will
not be able to run your own ranked servers on any GSP. Not sure if anyone
is working with Activision but I would say no seeing as no one has announced
anything in regards to pre ordering.

A lot of GSPs are sun shy (and they should be) after the Modern Warfare 2
debacle and don't trust anything until the game ships (The Call of Duty
series has a track record of saying one thing and meaning another, or not
saying anything - leaving you to guess what they will release.

You may want to wait until the game ships and the GSPs can dig into the bits
to see what they can offer you, and how it runs on their system.

In regards to your Linux questions. If I was a gambling man, and I am. I
would vote you won't see Linux bits at all.
