[cod] Sorry have to vent, Modern Warfare 2 on the PC

I'm sorry but UrbanTerror is a pretty low end game, I for one wouldn't even waste my time downloading it because of the terrible graphics.  It looks like CS 1.4 to be honest.  Open source will never make a game that can compete with the big developers.  Sorry to crush your dreams but I'm trying to be realistic.  Look at America's Army...there was money behind that and it's still bad, not even in the same universe as CoD4 let alone MW2.

UrbanTerror started as a Quake 3 mod and is now complete open-source

game thanks to Carmack releasing the Q3 engine source code. Nexiuz,

Alien Arena, Tremulous, and Warsow are all fine examples of open-source

projects that are complete games.

Hopefully once the dust settles, considerations for alternative

approaches come forth. In the meantime we are back to our regularly

scheduled drama of the community begging for updates, patches, and fixes

from companies.

I guess it's just an odd sort of dream of mine to see the community

entirely in charge of the FPS gaming world -- gaming meets the Linux

philosophy.
