[cod] Sorry have to vent, Modern Warfare 2 on the PC

Hey folks, I have to say that being a COD homer it hurts to say I have moved
on after this last one called CODWAW. I was not impressed to say the least,
and in fact took it off my server. I am hoping for a better product in COD
MW2 so I will wait to see what the verdict is before I buy. I did this for
Wolfenstein and farcry 2. Needless to say I am not regretting
those decisions. The good news is especially if you run linux servers is
that Valve is building and releasing linux binaries on the day the game is
released (Left 4 Dead 1 and 2). Also, Tripwire interactive released killing
floor and soon will release the new Red Orchestra all with dedicated linux
bins on release date. I only say this because I found these games to be
truly fun while we wait for the next installment of COD. We as a community
are very lucky to have Ryan whom builds solid bins for us. I have had
numerous games on my servers over the years and the COD and UT bins he
builds are the easiest and most stable of all the games out there. My hat
off to him for the good work he does.

MW2. On Fri, Oct 16, 2009 at 3:16 PM, SCHLUP
