This is what I've done: Just replace your default syslog by (better)
rsyslog:
aptitude install rsyslog
vi /etc/rsyslog.conf
Insert under
###############
#### RULES ####
###############
:programname,isequal,"bdLog" ~
This will remove all entries from syslog. You can use
:programname,isequal,"bdLog" -/var/log/bdlog.log
instead to write it to another file (if you don't want to delete it).
Don't forget to restart:
/etc/init.d/rsyslog restart
Yours,
