Hi

./cod4_lnxded +set dedicated 1 +set fs_homepath /var/games/cod4 +set net_ip 192.168.113.89 +set net_port 28960 +set sv_punkbuster 0 +set fs_game "Mods/pezbot" +exec dedicated.cfg +map_rotate

I don’t set any of the above in the config file.

Post your entire start up string so we can see it. Also are you setting this in your server config? If so don’t. All the read only means is that you can’t change the variable on the fly like some of the others. Its one that can only be selected at startup in the startup parameters.

Subject: [cod] Dedicated LAN server

Hi

I’ve set up a CoD4 server using the 06282008 release of the cod4 linux server running on amd64 Ubuntu.
Everything seems to work except that “+set dedicated 1” specified on the command line is ignored. The server always starts as internet dedicated server.
I’ve tried to set dedicated in the console after starting the gate, but it reports that dedicated is read only.

I see that there is an open bug regarding the issue: #3562

Will this feature be supported in future?

Thanks
