[cod] "awaiting connection" on inet, but works on LAN

Well out of curiosity i decided to setup a cod2 server. for a start i dont understand your startscript so i stuck with what i know..
 
:~$useradd ***:~$passwd ***
:~$su ***
:~$cd /home/***
:~$wget http://cpgs.nettuning.net/cod2.cpgs
:~$mv cod2.cpgs cod2.tar
:~$tar -xvf cod2.tar  (ignore errors)
:~$su
:~$cp  /home/***/libs/libstdc++.so.5 /lib/libstdc++.so.5:~$su ***
:~$vi start
killall cod2_lnxded./cod2_lnxded +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip "yourip" +set net_port "yourport" +exec default_mp.cfg +exec maps.cfg +map_rotate & 
 
:~$vi /main default_mp.cfg (enter your settings)
:~$chmod 755 start
:~$./start
 
Server was online with no problems
 
If you try this as i have shown and you are still having problems then i would say it has to be a firewall or network issue
