I have numerous custom maps. In my usermaps folder is a map that was
ported over from COD2. It is called carentan and it happens to be one
of our favorites. The new map pack that was included contains a new
map called china town. However, the map is really called carentan in
the zone folder of the new release. This has nothing to to with Joker
or Ryan or anybody in the community to my knowledge. I am under the
impression that the map pack is the one indeed sponsored by nvidia and
ported over from the one released to the console gamers. What IW or
whomever made the map pack did was basically take carentan from cod2
and put a china town theme to it. This is not a problem, but they did
not change the name of the .iwd or the .ff files. so they are still
  called carentan.iwd and carenatn.ff etc.

If you run a custom mapped called carentan then you have a confilct
and the custom map (COD2 ported map) will not play now. COD4 china
town will only load thus not allowing for the custom map to load. If
you changed the name of the custom map it kills the server when you
try to rcon it to start. Again there is nothing wrong with the server
and it is running strong. It is the fact that the new map pack has a
new map called china town, but they did not change the name to china
town. They kept it carentan and now if you have a map called carentan
in your usermaps folder it will not load. I hope that clears it up
for you, and if you have a solution please let me and about three
other admins I know solve this isse :--)
